Creation of the Prime Evils

The First Peace did not last long. A human by the name of Tamae had moved to the borderlands between the human lands, Berun, and Aiania. Here he had spent time studying the strange gems from the dwarven mines and the magic of the elves. He became a powerful spellcaster and had a large political influence. During the First War, he had led his nation into combat on several occasions, using the knowledge he had gathered to train troops in the use of magic. Unfortunately, he and his mages were defeated. He was presumed dead, but he had fled into the gem mines of the dwarves. Here he continued to study, hoping to find some kind of powerful magic that would give him enough power to take revenge on all the races of Aspenta, enough power to let him rule the world. His evil was not of the common source: Jealousy. His evil came from greed, avarice, and the lust for power and knowledge. He worshipped no angel and thought only about himself. During the decades that he spent in the gem mines of the dwarves during the First Peace, he gathered knowledge concerning the creation of the different races, including the dragons. He learned about the angels and how they had used the gems to empower their kiss to give life to the dwarves. His studies brought him to a place where no mortal should go.

With his knowledge and power over magic, he forced a group of dwarves to mine specific gems for him. He enchanted these gems and for years he perfected them. When they were ready, he would unleash them upon the world. He forged ten round orbs made of brass, bronze, copper, emerald, gold, moonstone, obsidian, ruby, sapphire, and silver. He needed the powers from the greatest dragons of the world in order to finish his creation.

Through his magical powers, he lured elves from Aiania into the gem mines of the dwarves. Here he captured them and corrupted them. His powerful and evil magic twisted them. The elves who surrendered to him became dark and vile. Those who fought against his curses became bigger, uglier, and mean. He essentially created the Drows and the Orcs. He chose four orcs and three drows to be the leaders of his new creation. There was the orcish warlord Orog, the orcish prince Praugh, the orcish king Krag and his old father Grummsh. There was the drow priestess, Drow, from whom the entire race was given their name. There was the drow princess, Drider, who with her magic corrupted the corrupted drows and created her own race of minions, a half-breed of spiders and elves. Finally, there was the drow queen, Lolth, a powerful spellcaster.

With two races and seven leaders, Tamae sent his armies to hunt dragons in the mountains of Berun. It wasn’t long before he had gathered the ten most powerful dragons and infused their essence into the orbs he had created. The last dragon to be defeated was also the most powerful dragon. Drake was a red dragon with many children. He fought the orcs and the drows and seemed to be winning. Unfortunately, there seemed an endless amount of enemies for him to vanquish and yet he persisted. It was first after he had slain the old Grummsh that Tamae came into the battle himself. He did not slay Drake but instead infused his spirit into the ruby orb directly. With the spirit of Drake at his command, Tamae halted the dragon attacks and subdued the most powerful race of the world.

With his powers and knowledge he ascended Grummsh to divinity, and made him the Angel of Orcs. He understood about the meaning of creation, but also the restrictions of being worshipped and being an angel. Such a role would better suit him later, when he had been defeated or conquered the entire world. With the ten orbs infused with the most powerful dragons, he now had control of the entire dragon race and had their powers within him.
